Welcome to the Reel Wellness Program, an initiative by the D-Rob Cares Foundation aimed at fostering mental wellness and outdoor education among children and teenagers. Our program offers a unique blend of fishing instruction, environmental conservation, and mental health discussions, all set against the backdrop of Belle Isle Park's natural beauty.
At Reel Wellness, we believe in the transformative power of nature and the therapeutic benefits of fishing. Through hands-on learning experiences, participants not only develop essential fishing skills but also cultivate patience, resilience, and mindfulness. Our expert instructors guide participants through every step, from casting their first line to understanding the importance of fish conservation.
But Reel Wellness is more than just a fishing day—it's a holistic approach to wellness. We integrate discussions on mental health, stress management, and emotional well-being into our program, creating a safe space for participants to explore and discuss these important topics.
By participating in Reel Wellness, children and teenagers (12-18) gain valuable life skills, a deeper connection with nature, and a greater understanding of their own mental wellness.
